A project charter allows the many people involved in a particular project not to lose sight of the forest for the trees. It is there to keep everyone’s eyes on the goal because, as it is wont to happen, sometimes people lose sight of what they are doing the project for.
The project charter also allows you to streamline your work processes and allocate your resources to make sure that your project goes as smoothly as possible. Have your project manager write it so that they are always oriented on the goals of the project they’re heading.
